Chapter 1: Ecosystems
The first Chapter that we are covering is consisting of an introduction to ecosystems, the biotic and abiotic factors that make the ecosystems, along with the organizational level found within ecosystems.

Chapter 2: Interactions within Ecosystems
Chapter 2 explores some of the interactions within ecosystems, between biotic and abiotic factors, and the various roles that organisms have within the ecosystems. The concepts of producers, consumers and decomposers are explained, and we define the concepts of herbivores, carnivores and omnivores. Food chains and webs, along with a quick introduction to the nutrient cycle is also covered.

Chapter 3: Changes of ecosystems
During Chapter 3, we focused on changes of and within ecosystems through natural processes such as succession. One of the key concept is to understand the differences between primary and secondary successions. We also looked at how humans impact natural environments and some of the consequences associated with our impacts.

Chapter 5: Matter
During Chapter 5 we are learning of the Particle Theory of Matter and its relationship with heat. We define matter and look a the changes of states, and how particles are affected/react.
